One of the most frequent requests from legal technology professionals in the middle-beginning of their career is, “How can I become a manager of a department?” Whether working at a law firm, in-house corporate, or at a service provider or consultancy, becoming a manager without having explicit previous management experience can be a real challenge. External employers often want experienced manager s, while getting trained and promoted from within into a leadership role may require more patience and good fortune than many legal technology professionals can spare. This presentation will examine the steps legal tech pros can take in the genesis of their career which can help lead to managerial opportunity later in life. Additionally, this presentation will examine how veteran managers can identify who in their staff is ripe for leadership and how to mentor the next generation of legal technologists into becoming more sophisticated, thoughtful, and successful contributors to the growth and enhancement of their professional community and peers.

This seminar will be presented by Jared Coseglia, Founder & CEO of TRU Staffing Partners.
