Microsoft 365 for eDiscovery: What to Know and What to Ask

Please note: the MS link will be sent the day before the event to all who RSVP yes to the event.

The beginning of any eDiscovery matter involves understanding where your client’s data is stored, in what form, and how to collect that data in the most defensible way possible. Our April meeting will focus on tips and key questions to ask when a client uses Microsoft 365. You will learn from Microsoft's Advanced eDiscovery experts on what to consider when initially scoping with the client’s IT department and interviewing custodians. Collaboration content tools, like Microsoft Teams, are discoverable. We will discuss what you should know about connector tools as well as capabilities specific to Microsoft 365’s Advanced eDiscovery license. Additional topics include retention and legal hold, what capabilities can be performed in-house and when is it the right time to bring in an eDiscovery service provider to help.

Speakers:

Jennifer Cody, Account Technology Strategist at Microsoft

Julie McCoy, Principal Technical Specialist for Compliance at Microsoft

Attendees will receive a Microsoft Teams meeting link. Please contact the DC board for more information.
