Open Leadership Roles

Women in eDiscovery (WiE) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities regarding technology in the legal industry to its members. The organization offers networking and leadership avenues, promotes personal and professional growth of women, and donates mentoring and charitable contributions to its communities. WiE incorporates a broad network of women volunteers who uplift and support each other and work together to recognize and honor each other’s achievements. WiE is comprised of professionals within the legal industry including attorneys, litigation support professionals, paralegals, legal IT staff, court reporters, consultants, recruiters and vendors.

Since its inception in 2007, Women in eDiscovery has grown globally with thousands of members and 31 chapters. The Executive Board has appointed Regional Directors that work in conjunction with each member elected Chapter Board.

Women in eDiscovery is run entirely by unpaid volunteers. These women dedicate their time, skills and professional experience to ensure the organization not only operates efficiently but also is an invaluable resource to its thousands of members.

  • Director of Programming
  • Director of Membership
  • Director of Marketing and Communications
  • Information Technology Specialist

Director of Programming

  1. Serves as the point of contact for inquiries regarding new and recommended programming at the local, regional and organizational levels. This includes serving as an advisor for conference programming committees and special events.
  2. Coordinates quarterly meetings with the executive board, and leadership team to establish annual goals,
  3. identify metric trends, and provide overall operational oversight.
  4. Compiles meeting analytics for the organization.
  5. Responsible for developing a repository of speakers, and topics from the individual chapter meetings.
  6. Responds to requests for customized surveys in furtherance of enhancing specialized programming
  7. Provides quarterly newsletter with global updates.
  8. Creates necessary documentation and templates to track globally hosted meetings.
  9. Monitors and responds to programming mailbox on a weekly basis.


Director of Membership

  1. Serves as the point of contact for membership drive inquiries and is responsible for the development of strategic global programs to increase new membership and membership retention.
  2. Coordinates quarterly meetings with the executive board, and leadership team to establish annual goals, identify metric trends, and provide overall operational oversight.
  3. Socializes the WiE brand with leadership to promote awareness for the organization.
  4. Provides leadership team and executive board with recommendations for policy updates to align with the global growth of the organization.
  5. Provides regional guidance for the standardization of updating local chapter membership status.
  6. Monitors and responds to membership mailbox on a weekly basis.




Director of Marketing & Communications

  1. Serves as the point of contact for all public relations for WiE, including but not limited to representing WiE to the press and approving cross-promotions, advertising for all special events and creating external press releases.
  2. Coordinates quarterly meetings with the executive board and leadership team to establish annual goals, identify metric trends, and provide overall operational oversight.
  3. Approves requests for use of organization’s name and logo.
  4. Coordinates all marketing operations for WiE, including, but not limited to, artwork, collateral, business cards and brochures.
  5. Monitors and responds to emails on a weekly basis.


Information Technology Specialist

  1. Assists the I.T. Director in maintaining an incident response protocol.
  2. Provides technical support for the use of WiE approved applications.
  3. Provides recommendations for special events requiring new applications.
  4. Assists Executive Board with interpreting technical issues, and responsible for troubleshooting timely solutions.
  5. Provides technical training and written instructions to chapter boards on the use of the WiE approved applications.
  6. Maintains a centralized repository of technical manuals.
  7. Monitors and responds to support emails on a weekly basis.
