Session II: Safe Harbor No More.

12:15 PM to 1:30 PM

What does the future hold as safe harbor is no longer pertinent.  Is there a new norm for the transfer of data?  What are the guidelines related to PII "personally identifiable information"?

Now that Europe’s top court has declared the EU-US data agreement invalid, thousands of US companies will need to change the way they treat personal data of customers and employees.  This panel will discuss practical considerations for cross-border data exchange amongst the Americas, EMEA, EU, and Asia-Pacific.

*[CLE/ethics eligible, Attendance is limited to 90 pre-registered attendees]

Panelists:

  • Discussion Leader:  Jo Sherman, Founder & CEO, EDT Software

  • Lauren Barnes, Vice President, Records & Information Management, Credit Suisse
  • Lisa Sotto, Partner, Hunton & Williams
