Please join us for our October meeting to hear from Christina Smith, a Special Agent with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Cyber Crime Bureau, about the work the unit does and her assignment as a digital forensic examiner. Christina will also discuss some of the cases she’s encountered and share some strategies for avoiding burnout and supporting wellness. As a frequent presenter during her career, Christina prefers a more interactive format and encourages your questions and comments during the meeting.

Christina Smith began her law enforcement career with the Iowa Department of Public Safety in 2007. Since 2021, she has served as a Special Agent Forensic Examiner with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Cyber Crime Bureau. She is certified as a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) and Certified Mobile Device Examiner (CMDE) through the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) and a Certified Cyber Crime Examiner (3CE) by the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).
