Greetings!
The DC Chapter of Women in eDiscovery presents Part One of a Three Part Financial Wealth Series led by former DC WiE Board members with the goal of arming women with the education and tools for securing financial wealth. All are welcome to this wonderful series.
In this presentation, Matt Alatorre will cover key elements of personal financial management, starting with cash flow management and saving, which focuses on budgeting income and expenses to build financial stability. Matt will then discuss borrowing and lending, including how credit works and the importance of responsible debt management. Next, he’ll explore investing as a way to grow wealth over time through various financial assets. He will also explain the role of insurance in protecting against unexpected risks and financial losses. Finally, Matt will highlight estate planning, which involves organizing assets and ensuring they are distributed according to one’s wishes.
A special thanks to Trish Alatorre-Ridings and Sarah Ahmad , former DC Chapter of WiE Director and Assistant Director (2022-2024) for organizing Part 1 of this educational series.

Join us for a wine‑and‑cheese‑fueled eDiscovery discussion where we examine real‑world missteps, breakdowns, and questionable decisions that have complicated—or outright derailed eDiscovery matters.
Set against the Vancouver skyline on the Deloitte rooftop, this moderated, highly interactive session invites attendees to share candid eDiscovery stories involving problematic eDiscovery matters. Using yes/no paddles, participants will weigh in on key moments (because sometimes it helps to know you’re not alone), followed by open discussion on why those matters were challenging, what could have been done differently, and how to avoid these mistakes in the future.
The goal?
✔ Laugh a little
✔ Vent a little
✔ Learn a lot
✔ And walk away with practical and actionable insights that will make your future projects smoother.

We’re excited to introduce Women in eDiscovery Philly Coffee Chats — a relaxed, welcoming space to connect with one another without talking about work.
These conversations are intentionally informal and personal. No agendas. No panels. No pressure to “network.” Just a chance to grab your coffee, show up as you are, and spend time with other women in our community talking about life, little joys, and whatever’s on your mind.
Details: ☕ When: Every 3rd Wednesday of the month ⏰ Time: 9:30 AM ET
Each month will have a different, gentle theme to help spark conversation.
Participation is always optional — listening is just as welcome as sharing. This is meant to be a low-pressure, safe space to connect and recharge.
If you’ve been looking for a casual, feel-good way to stay connected with the WiE Philly community, we’d love for you to join us.
